The RTITB. Accredited Courses:
Different types of R.T.I.T.B. accredited Forktruck training courses with NORS registration.
Basic operator, Refresher courses to take place every 3 years, Conversion courses onto all types of forklift trucks.
Duration:

Types of fork trucks:
Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pedestrian Operated Stacker Truck High level (walk-by) or (Ride-On),
Pivot Steer (Bendi), Vehicle Mounted Moffitt, Multi Directional (Combi), Narrow Aisle Man-up or Man down,
Order Picker all levels, Sideloader, Industrial Telescopic.
Rough Terrain:
Masted Counterbalance, Telescopic Handler, Articulated Lift Truck.
IPAF Accredited courses:
Self-propelled Scissor Lift, Self-propelled Boom (Cherry Picker), & Vehicle Mounted.
NPORS National Plant Accredited Courses:
Abrasive Wheels, Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT), Both Forward & Rear Tipping Dumpers, Harness & Fall Arrest course,
Loading Shovel, Manual Handling, Overhead Gantry Crane, Slinger/Signaller.
In-house training is also available on all the above courses.
Duration of courses:
The duration varies by the number of course candidates and their experience and ability.
For your information since I started in 1991 Mid Glamorgan has currently trained over 24,500 candidates.
RTITB FLT Course content:
Admin Outline of course, Operators Safety code & Films, Introduction to correct driving, Simple Manoeuvres, manoeuvring in confined areas, Hydraulic System use and controls, Inspection, Takeover & Maintenance, Fork truck stability & Verbally & Films, Building free standing stacks, Load handling into and out of racking, Building Free-Standing Stacks, Loading into & out of Racking, Vehicle Loading, handling loads in confined areas, Where possible include ramp work, Further Practical Operating, Written Test, Test: Practical Inspection (Pre-shift check), Practical test of Basic Operating Skills. Course close.
On completion of accredited training all successful candidates will receive either In-house or accredited training records, A4 Certification & photo ID card.
